Overrated? I think he's appropriately rated as a capable crooner of covers (mostly), filling the next Harry C. Jr void, no? Don't think anyone reckons he's a great artist despite his massive popularity do they?

Thank you Adam. My one question is among the vast ocean of lounge singers who have never been able to come up with their own material.... How in the heck did this guy make it? His voice certainly is nothing to get excited about. Not quite sure how he became so popular bastardizing the classics of long-dead greats.

Disagree! He has excellent tone and an exceptional voice. Personally, being a fan of the long dead greats, I am glad he keeps this music "alive". "Bastardizing", not even close!

As a fan of the long dead greats, I will simply choose to continue to listen to the long dead greats.

I enjoy and prefer them as well, but not on subject of your critique.

I'm on the fence. He definitely has a good voice, unless you're an incredible singer? I see your point but he does serve a purpose of bringing this music to popularity and kids can see it live...plus, he paid his dues...lived broke for a fair while trying to make it...had his girlfriend supporting the two of them I think...and now he has a nice Argie missus, too! Cool

Reginald Dwight Wink ... a few songs from Honky Chateau and Madman Across the Water, up next, Allman Brothers. Woke up to Roger McGuinn (backed by Petty).

On a related note, I NEVER watch Leno. But last night I saw the last few minutes for some unexplained reason. He had on Tom Morello (featuring Ben Harper). Perhaps the single most impressive new song I've heard in a decade, maybe more. The real thing.
