M83 - Hurry Up, We're Dreaming (Love)
Justice - A/V Disco (A bit too much)

Midnight City is easily one of my tracks of the year. I noticed it's on the Victoria Secret Angels commercial.

I'm into the Justice album. Canon is a quality groove for me, once the thirty second intro is over. Newlands reminds me of yesteryear AC/DC or something...and the vocals remind me of something else I can't put my finger on.

Midnight City is very nice. It takes me a few spins to really decide whether I like an album or not. After a few background listens of M83, I was quite sold. Then heard Midnight City on "How to Make it in America" and it got me.

I'll check out those specific Justice tracks. Only have given that album one listen.

Hey, look - another negative condescending post from Mr. Cabernet. What a shock! Jag.

As always I'm glad that one of my biggest followers is still hanging on my every post. As for making a condescending comment, the OP didn't even say what he felt about the piece, just that he was listening to it. And I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to express a negative opinion as all posters here do sometime.

Note that my previous post was a positive comment on a movie. I'm sure you know the post since you are my most dedicated follower.

The Beach Boys' long anticipated "SMiLE".

It's good, but not the genius that everyone makes it out to be. If it had come out before Sgt Pepper, then I think the conversation would be different.

Yeah, I think they were overrating based on everything that surrounded its recording...if it was a new artist, no way would it get 10/10.

Long album though...not sure I can give full marks to many double albums...takes a lot. Beatles' White is obvious, and at the time, I thought Chilis' Stadium Arcadium was a good effort.

Weird, I know, but I started the morning with one of Dieskau's "Wintereisse" recordings, then settled back with Dylan's "Time Out of Mind."

I have a Dieskau "Winterreise" but have just ordered the one in the hyperion series sung by Matthias Goerne.

That Matthias Goerne (w/Graham Johnson) recording is very good. I'm sure you'll enjoy it! I have 4 different Dieskau recordings, some of which I like better than others. There is an older Peter Pears recording, from 1965 and reissued in 2000, this is very nice.

I'm looking forward to it. Do you have the whole hyperion set? I have 3 with 4 more on order.

No, I don't. Look forward to your thoughts on it.
