I suggest we drop the monthly drinking/buying threads and just do a single, ongoing thread for each. It'll be easier to find old posts when they're in a single thread. And the decline in participation on this forum doesn't justify separate monthly threads. (The April "buying" thread had a total of 17 posts.)

Are you buying the wines because I was there yesterday and they are delicious?

Wow. Total coincidence. An offer from Envoyer and I was intrigued enough to grab some.

Looking forward to hearing your opinion (besides that they're delicious).

Was there any Cramant available? And did they mention the base year on the Premier Temps and Les Terre Fines? I assume 2015 at this point, based on what Adrien said at the winery.

Will talk more when I'm back, but I tasted the 2015 bases that were opened for five days and the 2016 bases (for the NV wines), and my comment is to just buy them. Plus vintage wines, barrel samples, vin clairs, etc, etc.

Yes they did have the Cramant but I missed it. They had very small quantities: between 6 and 24 bottles of each wine.

And yes, I believe it’s the 2015 base in the NVs.

Smart man

An acquired taste M.

Bought 4, opened one tonight, ordered 3 more. It’s more open to drink and more ripe flavours than the 04 or 01.

Similar thing happened to me 2 months ago. Purchased two, drank one, purchased two more the next day.  Probably the best young Tondonia Reserva I’ve had.

Yeah I think it’s more ready to drink than the other recent vintages. Comparable to 2005 in its approachability.

Trying to buy less with only marginal success.

nice haul vinC & yes.  I keep losing at playing tetris with cases in the aisles between the racks and realize that I really need to increase my drinking if only to keep up with my wine buying habit.

I hear you E, running out of storage space and piling boxes seems to be perpetual.  I've had to decrease my drinking due to some health issues, which has only compounded the problem.

Sorry to hear about the health issues VInC.

I'm slowly coming to the realization i've got more of a wine-buying than a wine-drinking problem.

Thanks E, working on improving the health issues.  Same here re: more of a problem buying than drinking.  I've shifted buying away from categories I don't really drink and have started selling of chunks of the cellar that don't interest me as much.  However, for the narrower focus of wines that are of interest it's buy buy buy...  lol.
