My New Years resolution in wine purchasing and drinking: Buy less expensive wine and drink more ready to drink wines.

2017 Clos Henri Bel Echo Pinot noir NZ

2018 Charvin Cdr Le Poutet( my qpr for 2020)

Trusting your palate, although I have had Charvin before, I picked some of these yesterday. Are you sure your bottles of the Charvin have Le Poutet on the label? The two I bought do not.

No it’s not on the label but the wine is called that. Not sure why but it’s the same wine. He only makes one Cdr. I loved it. Curious to hear your thoughts on the wine

3 x 2018 Di Costanzo Cab Sauv Farella Vineyard

Over on that other forum where the big event is taking place today.

I went with their base cab instead of their single vineyards.  I figured it was a pretty hefty price to pay to try something new (plus I've had good luck picking up some Rudius Farella at around 50$ a pop, so the value wasn't there for me).  I also ended up picking up a few  bottles from Stellareese, which is the personal label of the winemaker at Revana.  I was really close to buying some Zeitgiest, but I have a couple of bottles from a tasting I did at Heron House in Yountville, so I finally practiced a little restraint.

2 x 2015 Paul Bertrand Malbec Cahors Crocus Le Calcifère
2 x 2018 Viña Cobos Malbec Bramare Lujan de Cuyo
1 x 2019 Carlisle Grüner Veltliner Steiner Vineyard
1 x 2018 Carlisle Alicante Bouschet Pagani Ranch
1 x 2018 Carlisle Syrah James Berry Vineyard
2 x 2018 Carlisle Zinfandel Carlisle Vineyard
1 x 2019 Carlisle Zinfandel Sonoma County

Very nice. I'll have to look into the Rudius. Thanks for the tip.

I got 6 bottles of the 2018 DI CO last September when it was originally released, so I skipped it. Too bad: the price yesterday was $6/bottle less than the original release price.

I actually haven't tried the single vineyard Di Costanzo yet, but I have a friend in L.A. whose palate I trust and he loves them.

One of these things is not like the others:

2 x 2014 Anwilka Proprietary Blend
2 x 2018 Sadie Family Pofadder Red
2 x 2018 Sadie Family Treinspoor
6 x 2019 Sadie Family Skurfberg Olifants River Valley
2 x 2015 Hanzell Chardonnay

Ah, the new releases from Sadie Family. Hopefully they will also be available from our local monopoly soon.  I wonder what the '18 reds will be like from Sadie and others in general? That was the worst part of the drought.
