So I've been watching these forums for a while and it is a shame to see how difficult it can be to get some offline tastings under way. You know what would be awesome? If there was a platform dedicated to creating and finding offline wine tastings. Where people can create a tasting and it can be seen publicly, and those who are interested can request to join, and the host decides who and how many can join. Maybe everyone can see via facebook connectivity who of their friends are on the platform. Then they can decide what the theme will be and everyone brings a bottle within the price range the host decides. And everyone can share wine knowledge and experience new wines. Then they can pass that knowledge on to others at the next tasting. And these tastings can be at peoples homes or in restaurants or other venues, depending on everyone's preference. If there was such a platform, every wine lover could find their tribe, students could form study groups and sommeliers can host guided tastings for anyone to come and expand their horizons. Oh wait. There is. Enos Tastings. It's new, very very new, so invite your friends when you get there and before you know it you'll have many tastings to choose from whenever you want.
