The latest catalogue arrived in the mail today.
To paraphrase Futronic's latest comments about some upcoming Vintages releases, "This is going to be a very expensive release for me"

I can't - there's too much to choose from, so it depends on your interests.quote:Originally posted by WEc:
Care to share some preview highlights before I get home or Vintages posts it on their website?

LOL. I didn't get my copy in the mail today. Maybe it got lost!
I agree.quote:Originally posted by Stevey:
I think the issue of increasing prices is a concern as the price spread between LCBO and US continue to grow. Even wines that have historically been reasonably priced at LCBO such as some Australians, Italians and Rhones are no longer the case. You can still find the odd "bargain" but they're becoming more and more rare.
I'm not sure if there's an end to these price increases but the good wines do continue to sell out, so I guess we're not at the ceiling of tolerance yet.
So you are reading it with your pants down?quote:Originally posted by Mezzo Litro:
I received mine yesterday. Good toilet reading material.

The Galatrona is fantastic stuff, but i just don't feel like paying $95 a bottle for it. It is a good price when compared to the US, however.

Looking forward to your further guidance and tasting notes.quote:Originally posted by futronic:quote:Originally posted by Bill@IA:

True, especially when compared to other Tuscan Merlot - i.e. Masseto, Redigaffi, L'Apperita etc, but I'll be spending my wine budget on other things.

Got mine too. The Galatrona is tempting. Maybe The Chocolate Block and an Oz or two. I'm also tempted by the Chapoutier White Ermitage, except for Parker's comment about it going into a funk for a couple of decades.![]()
