Thanks for the info. I haven't been able to bring it up or post either and I have been awfully curious.

NOT inappropriate at all, in my book. We all converse with each other on a regular basis--sometimes, just on different sites.

Thanks again.

I miss my Vinocellar. Frown

The WS fora are so hard to navigate. Not enough categories and just a sea of posts to navigate! It's like trying to find a particular grain of sand on a beach!

Sorry WS, but you know it's true!

Lilac/Jump...

You certainly hit it on the head.
VC is SO much easier to navigate, and to pick up where you left off. Maybe the administration here (if there is any) should take a look and consider some of those features for this site (if VC ever gets back on its feet).

I can't afford it, but I buy it anyway.
Looks like Rev's circuit is still down. Being in the business of Internet connections myself, I haven't heard of any fatal errors with Verizon in NJ. But this could be a myriad of problems all the way from the network gateway to Rev's phone closet.

Hey all,

My goodness, what a terrible last few days! Such bad timing too!

I'm not going to bore you all with details... but our non-profit web site has definitely hit a huge bump in the road. It's to the point where I'm changing T-1 providers because of it.

This really could be a blessing in disguise however since the new service will be literally half the price!! (For full T-1 speeds)

In order to bring the new service in, a new line will have to be installed. They are telling me everything will take approximately two weeks. I pray it's going to happen quickly.

Sorry for the downtime folks... it's really burning me up and I MISS MY SITE!!! I hope you all can have some patience and will come back when all is said and done. Thanks to WS for letting me post here. I'll give periodic updates.

- Brad

Having a good day? I am... I drank some wine today.
Rev - I don't envy you the work! This kind of thing just EATS UP time, trying to get everything identified, fixed, ordered, disconnected, etc., etc.

Have you considered upgrading with an ISDN dial back-up? Something we sell customers fairly often - but I don't know if you're interested in the extra expense.

Well - we can all share thoughts here while we wait. Some of us patiently. Wink Razz

Revlis, I see a bigger problem. It seems like someone named thomas lucker just changed all the domain contacts for vinocellar.com as of today. Did you do this or did the vinocellar.com domain get stolen?

Btw, if you want temporary hosting I think I could provide some.
LW -- You are definitely correct about that. The phone is stuck to my ear right now actually.... but so far the new order is going quite quickly. And there will be a backup dial-up (56k) line this time around... included with the service. Until VC starts making money (if ever), I can't afford that kind of redundancy.

skwid, Toby lucker is actually a friend of mine. That whois info isn't a problem. That was just a mistake on my part about 6 months ago (I was transferring a domain to him awhile back and goofed) The recent change you note was from me today correcting everything since I'll have to change my DNS and IP addy schemas.

Thanks for checking it out though....

Man, I forgot what a mess this place is to navigate. You have to try to remember the last post of a given thread you've read (and please, the notification emails are nice enough here on WS, but I stopped using them since they cluttered up my inbox) and you have to really seach for stuff you're looking for.

Man, I guess I am spoiled.

www.vinocellar.com -- Mm-Mm-good
I see this as an opportunity to get back in touch with some old WS friends who I may have lost touch with.

Glad to see our old WS friends are so happy to host us. It's like a reunion! I for one will take the next few weeks as a chance to get to know some of the new people that have joined this site over the last year.

Thanks Wine Spectator Community
