Nope, he's the real thing (right Wink)

He just wants to make everyone happy and wants them to all feel good. He should have chosen a more appropriate screen name....

My suggestion...blowtheHumanity.

And the other recent forum freak should have called himself WankingPeni$...... Cool
Lasagna Lemur

- indulge yourselves with something really exotic!

* 1 Madagascarian Lemur, 2 medium zucchinis, 4 teaspoons olive oil
* Bake in 375F oven for 20 minutes.
* Sprinkle lemur with cheese mixture
* Makes 10 servings - great for freezing!
* Serve with an nice Santa Margarhita Pinot Grigio, and why not take a pic with your digicam and send it to World Wildlife Fund?
Baked Panda Parmesan
- perfect for birthdays

* 1 adult Panda (serves eight), 2 1/4 cups grated Parmesan cheese, divided
* Preheat oven to 400F. While panda is cooking, put broccoli into a large saucepan; add water to cover
* Bake panda until lightly browned and bubbly, about 25 minutes.
* Serve with a Santa Margarhita Pinot Grigio. Afterwards, why not phone a lesbian (ex-girlfriend or something) and tell her how good your meal was?

A lot of people get to college with poor grammar, sentence structure and punctuation. Usually it improves in composition classes when the teacher marks their paper with a red pen and then makes them resubmit their papers. College composition courses helped my writing quite a bit. Much more than highschool or the rules they teach in elementary school.

Hi spo,

I see what you're saying, but think of calories as gasoline. You can put 10 gallons of regular in your car, and you might go 250 miles. You can put 10 gal of Super in there, and you'll be going basically the same distance, but might get there a little more quickly, and burn off some engine deposits in the process.

We're definately bombarded with lots of contradictory info, but if you put 100 calories of brocolli in one hand, and 100 cals of sugar in the other, the mass and volume difference will be obvious. But, eat those two things, and your body will think, "I just received 200 calories," and decide, based on your activity level (and metabolism), whether to store or burn those calories.

Sitting on the couch and eating 3000 calories a day in brocolli, bell peppers and spinach will definately make you fat, not to mention have gas out the wazoooo.

As a sidenote, some folks are genetically predisposed to large weight gain. Folks from tiny pacific islands often have to fight this when they come to "the mainland." Islanders historically have had regular periods of famine to contend with, and those who were good at keeping weight on had a distinct advantage.

Good luck,
Where do you get the information that a vegetarian diet increases enzymes and aids in digestion?

Acutally, if you ate all your food raw, it would increase enzymes and aid in digestion. Raw food contains enzymes that allow it to autodigest to a point (cooking destroys those and many vitamins etc...)and decreases the strain on the pancreas caused by cooked foods. Also, the body attacks cooked food as a foreign body and releases white blood cells to attack it as soon as you eat the first bite. So, if you really wnated to be as healthy as possible, you would be on a raw instead of a vegetarian diet.
Ania, Meat and cheese are difficult to digest when compared to fruits and vegetables. They use up enzymes and slow down digestion and elimination. If you stop eating meat for a while it is far less taxing on the digestive system. You are aware that the body produces enzymes, right. Also consider the role the liver plays in digestion and the break down and elimination of fats. A vegetarian diet gives your liver a rest.

I read that cooked food is treated as a pathogen. It does not really matter though. It still has nutrients. Some people with poor digestion cannot access the nutrients in raw foods.

Indybob, I will leave out the sitting on the couch part but "eating 3000 calories a day in brocolli, bell peppers and spinach will definately make you fat, not to mention have gas out the wazoooo."

I am not sure about that. Gas is caused by indigestion. The only time I get gas is when I overeat. Otherwise it does not matter what food I eat. Not even Saurkraut gives me gas.

Seems like a waste of twelve or thirteen years of school if you can't write legibly by the time you are graduating from high school.

Granted, my high school days were 25 years ago, but they taught us spelling, punctuation and sentence structure before fifth grade...... Confused

Of course they teach it to everyone. People just do not seem to retain it. I still remember at SDSU the professors holding a stack of class essays and voicing their frustration, irritation even anger at the grammar and writing mechanics found within a majority of the papers.

Take a class of second graders. Every single day they have to write. Of course this requires a period at the beginning of the sentence and the correct ending punctuation. Take a two week break and they have completely forgotten it. Guess what happens over the summer.

Who is to blame? Lazy students, stupid teachers, parents, you tell me.

spo,

Lots of fiber in these green veggie items, much of which (the cell walls, that animal tissue don't have) is indigestible to us, hence the gas. Crank down a medium sized bowl of all-bran, and you'll see this in action, just don't plan having a nice, intimate evening alone with your sig. other for a couple of days. If this kind of roughage doesn't affect you, you're definately lucky.

Cheers,

You still digest it, but only to a certain degree. We all know how carrots, corn and peanuts exit. I am convinced the gas is from a bacterial imbalance or lack of bacteria that aid in digestion.

When I get the will power to go vegetarian for a month or two I will report back. I cannot really argue my hypothesis without testing it. It would be unethical. I am convinced the digestive system, especially the liver and bacteria found in the tract are extremely important to your weight.

I could eat them both and still be thinner than the other two. Smile

I read about your ability to not gain wait. I also read you don't work, your wife does. Some guys have all the luck.

Yeah. Too bad it was at the expense of logic.
Big Grin Razz
Only your twisted communist/Canadian upbringing would skew your view to that conclusion..... Razz
I agree with spo about the weight loss thing. Overall health, genetics, stress levels, and what you eat are very important. There's more to it than calories in/calories out.

Eating lots of sugar/carbs brings up your insulin levels and encourages the body to build up fat reserves. Also, drinking alcohol slows your metabolism and makes it hard for you to burn those calories off.

That's what I love about you GA. You have a sense of humour. You take it and you can dish it back. Big Grin even in a post-modern McCarthyism kinda way.

So, my question is, "Is WankingPhoenix really Serge (the unspeakableth one.)?"

Gain "wait"?

Good one. Serge would have never caught that.
