This new feature is an embarassment. Every single "sale" item I have seen has been available to the general public at the same price. Special discount codes get you nothing that an average person can't get. One would think that with the size and advertising power of Shanken Publications behind it, WineSpectator.com would be able to convince vendors to shave 10-15% more off the price for its subscibers.

Instead of a discount, they've apparently been able to negotiate that you have to sell WS in your store to be advertised. I read that either here or at eBob. I think that they even are requiring you to only use WS scores on shelf talkers, but I might be wrong on that one.
