Given that xhoser is staying at Yonge & Lawrence, either Cava (Spanish) or Zucca (Italian) would be convenient venues for this offline.

I've made a 7pm placeholder reservation at Cava for 8 people next Thursday. It appears we are 4 thus far so we'll see who else chimes in on the thread. I'll also ping local winos by email later today to see who else might be interested.

Fut, it may be beneficial for you to let your contacts at Cava know this dinner will not conform to their standard 2:15 reservation length. And that we'll be bringing a bottle or 10 of wine. I made the reserve using Open Table and It's under my name.

It might also be useful to ask for the windowv table near the entrance. I've found the accoustics there better than in the back.

VinT - I'm here! Thanks to you are the rest of the forumites for getting this set up so fast. Looks like it's going to be an amazing dinner with the chef pairing food to our wines! Looking forward to it. Taking a red eye Wednesday night arriving Thursday morning so forgive me if I look like DoubleD at the table!

This is the one weekend that we're staying put in Unionville. Almost every other weekend we're in Clarksburg. Next time sir.

Agreed on all counts save perhaps the food. Tasty, yes. A dozen courses, yes. But at one bite per course, it didn't feel like a full meal. I needed a snack when I got home.
