Top 10 wines other board members have shared with you in 2007.

Time for my yearly thread to thank those forum members who shared bottles with me this year. This is probably my favorite post that I put up every year. It is a time to remember all the great wines and times I had with other forum members. Here is a link to last years thread. After a 3 year run at the top of my list, Pinot Envy was knocked out of the top spot last year by Grossie. Past winners include:

This year the honor goes to Blue Oval. Thanks to everyone who graciously opened and shared bottles with my wife and I.

The fact that I didn't make KSC02's list is embarrassing. From memory and a quick search of the TN's here;

I understand. Skoshy and I had the '82 Haut Brion two weeks ago. A wonderful wine for sure, but not like the one in Philly.

That said, Skoshy and I had the '82 Montrose twice since Philly, and they were near perfection.

As they say... there are not great wines, but only great bottles of wine.

Your wine that night was truly special to my palate. Thank you Mr. Haze.

Wines 2-8, and 10 were all from the Brunello pre-game dinner in Philly in April. Holy crap was that ever the best single night of wine consumption I've experienced.

'01 Riussec - MiamiAtty -

Other contenders from the offline are the
88 Beaucastel - Board-O (not sure if it really is in the top 10 - but it is recent and it was very enjoyable and a treat)

02 Insignia - also MiamiAtty - a baby but delicious

Heck that '05 Prum should probably also qualify if the Riussec had not blown away my palate -

MiamiAtty - a late but strong addition to my list.
