"Winemaker Notes - Named for a popular Australian game of chance, 2 up is created by Kevin and Helen O’Brien, producers of the highly acclaimed Kangarilla Road. The wine is an elegant, intense and exceptional quality Shiraz that is hand-crafted from a blend of grapes carefully selected by Kevin from highly prized local vineyards. According to Robert Parker of the Wine Advocate, 2 up represents 'the type of wine value that simply can’t be found in California.' ”

do with that what you will.
I had the 2004 and posted a note on it. It wasn't bad. Of course, I had written the note at a time when I liked Oz wines more than I do now. I can remember having it later and not liking it as much.

Your idea of using it for poached pears is good. I've made your poached pears with wines similar to the 2 Up and they came out fine.

If anybody here has never made Board-o's poached pears, you owe it to yourself to try them. The recipe is in this thread. Awesome stuff and very easy to make.
