100% single vineyard malbec from Vistalba, Mendoza, at 3,500 ft altitude, on the foothill of the Andes mountains. Grapes harvested from 75 year old vines. Intense dark purple color. Aroma of black fruit and flowers. Full bodied, 14% abv. Dark roasted plums, black cherries, violets, smoke. Aged for 18 months in new French oak. Tannins are softening, this wine is entering its peak drinking period. Medium finish, with a hint of varnished cedar. Nice wine. Terrazas de los Andes belongs to the Moët Hennessy Wine Estates group.
