Any of you Sierra Foothill-ians have notes on the '99 LC Reserve Cab? I believe they label just about everything 'Reserve', but everything I've had from them has been very tasty. I'd expect this one to be good, too. I've found a couple bottles for $20; that seems like a great price.

Hey Kybo,

I have had this a few times and have always found it to be a good, solid cab.

My notes: 1999 Lava Cap Reserve Eldorado Cabernet Sauvignon:
Nice nose of cherry and spicy oak, giving way to a smooth pallet of cherries and red fruit. Nice balance between the fruit and the oaky backbone, the wine displays a moderate complexity with a nice smooth finnish. 88pts Wink

I paid $22 for this.

I have had the Merlot, the Pettie Sarah, and the Syrah and have found them all to be excellent wines. And yes, I do believe everything they make is a 'reserve'.

Enjoy!
Scotty;
Chew and me, main! We gots to drink some wine, soon.

I'll be in contact (I have your email, don't I?) about a visit to the GSP area in mid-late October.

BTW - I still have some of the '96 Helena View CF if you're interested...it's dynamite stuff, IMHO.
