From a magnum, opened about 18 hours before the first taste, but then recorked and not decanted.
Deep red color. It has a nice nose, with some mineral and licorice overtones, but lacking deep fruit. The palate is easygoing, not particularly intense, with a little detecable oak. There's nothing wrong with this wine, there's just not much that's right either. This typifies 2000 Cali cabs for me. 87pts.
Of note, the QPR for me is infinite on this wine since I paid nothing for it!
