TN: Fritz Haag, Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr, Riesling Auslese Gold Cap, 1989 #12

this is all that great riesling can be.

it has 16 years on the shoulder and almost it seemd young.
light white-yellow color! (like 1998 weil)
a extremly mineralic nose of vegtables (mirepoix)
herbes like parsly, chervil and dandelion leaves.
a hint of granny smith and lime, the taste was as sharp mineralic as riesling can be (there is no oponent in that) fresh, razor acidity, that pushed down the tastable sweetness. great length
i rated this in the german-riesling-auslese paradigma with 98+
+ because this will go on for long time!

Mistook it for an Alsace Riesling at the first sniff. Very nice old Riesling nose with notes of petrol, slate and granny smith apples. As pure as glacial water and a great joy to drink. Sweetness is already lost to some extent. 94 P. for me.
