$46 Cdn. / WS- 87 pts. / Did not decant
Very pleasant nose out of the chute, ripe fruit with a hint of minerals.
Most of WS description was right on...the wine was 'Firm and Compacted, with a solid mineral core...ripe fruit'.
Unlike the WS description, it did not possess a 'Tannic finish'. The finish was smooth, fruity with slight tannin and acidity...good balance.
When tasting later in the day, it had turned a little 'Skunky' in aroma and had lost some of that ripe fruit on the palate which left a more noticable 'Mineral' taste...OK I guess, if your a miner!
I don't know enough (or experienced enough) about Burgundy yet to afford an educated opinion for the masses...I liked it, but at $46 Cdn, the PQR would be in question.
