TN: 95 Mondavi Napa Cab

I pulled my one and only bttl of this wine
tonight from my cellar and must say I am not
disappointed(WS 90, RP 89). I paid $18 for it
and am having a serious case of cellar remorse.
The wine is very balanced with a flavors of
cassis, cherry and the slighest hint of oak
ringing through. Drinking superbly now, I can't
imagine it will improve. On the other hand, I
suspect it will hold nicely 1-2 more years.
Altogether, a very fine effort from Mondavi.
I can only hope the 97 I have stashed is as good.

I recently popped a '96 with similar results. One of the things that impresses me about the Mondavi Napa is its consistency. I found it better with a bit of age, allowing some of the cedar to tone down and integrate.
