Had this for quite some time (made the trip from Louisville to GA 5 yrs. ago), and with high-humidity and temps moving out for the weekend, a thick NY strip was in order for Sunday dinner. Opened and served w/o decanting.

Deep ruby to garnet running, mostly clear, with only a smallish amount of fine sediment. Pencil shavings, smoke, and currant on the nose, with more of the same on the palate. Add in some mineral, warm red currant/raspberry, and the finest hint of tannin and you have a pretty good little wine. Soft, well structured, nice finish, about what I'd expect from a 14 yr. old bordeax.

86-87 pts.; my guess is this will continue to hold for several more years but it's not going to get any better.
