From magnum which was a $20 Costco purchase last week (normal price is about $40). My Costco store had a pallet of magnums. This is the estates flagship wine. Made from free run juice of 55% Xarel-lo, 35% Macabeo, 10% Parellada and a little Chardonnay. A bright pale yellow color. Fresh with a lively bead. Dry and with a good texture. Notes of lemon and green apples. Round finish. Great value. A very solid 88 points and a strong recommendation to buy.

My Costco had it marked down to $9.97 today also so I bought a couple more. Whenever you see a price ending in 7 at Costco it indicates closeout and reduction from the original price.

Opened another magnum for a family reunion over the weekend. I tried some straight and then made an aperol spritz with some as well. Consistent notes with when I first had it and the same score 88 points.

We opened one on Saturday and I’m hoping it was just an off bottle. Bitter with a varnish aroma, and not much in the way of fruit. Several others agreed. I’ve generally been pleased with these in the past.
