I purchased this at auction for $23 and it normally sells for 3 times that price. Sourced from a steeply sloped South/Southwest facing .7 hectare parcel with blue slate (hence the "B" in the name). The vines average 60 years old with a large portion being ungrafted. My 1st bottle. Light straw color. A dry Riesling as expected. A good amount of petrol on the nose which followed through onto the palate. If you like petrol, you will likely enjoy this more than I did. Spicy white fruit with pear and golden apples. A spritzy acidity on the finish. Give this time. This wine got some fairly good scores from the experts (94 from Suckling and 93+ from the WA) but I did not like it as well as they did at this stage. 91 points.
