Opened a magnum of this wine at an offline. One of only 4 magnums bottled. Made from purchased grapes sourced from a small vineyard located in Glenn, MI in the Fennville AVA. The vineyard is a mix of sand and clay. The grapes were picked at 22.2 brix and yielded enough juice to make 26 cases (1 barrel). This seemed to be on the decline and did not have the definition of the previous tastings I've had. Burnt red color. A little funk on the nose. More old world in style. Notes of black licorice and cherries. 88 points.
