Opened after dinner with some of the Chicago crew. At least the 5th time I have had this dessert wine and this is the lowest I have ever scored it. This was harvested at 40.7 brix on January 2, 2014 at 7 degrees above zero. 8.8% alcohol. 20% of the grapes were affected by botrytis. Golden color. This bottle had slightly lower acidity but the fruit had good purity and depth. Some tropical notes mixed in among the peaches and apricots. Excellent. 93 points.

This wine was certainly a treat, and one of the very best I’ve had from MI. Thanks for sharing it.
