The warmest of Meyer Nakels vineyards. They own 3 acres of vines in the Sonnenberg on a 30% slope. I previously had the 2003 vintage of this wine on several occasions and think the 2013 is superior. This was opened alongside a 2009 Faiveley Vouget Grand Cru and it showed better according to the tasters. Deep purple color. Rich notes of black fruit and wet earth with solid tannins. No rush to drink this bottle if you have any. Creamy and full bodied finish. 94 points.
