This estate is made up of about 30 small parcel spread thoughout the CdP appellation with differing soil conditions. It has been in been making wine since the 1920's. The vines are 60+ years in age. Whole cluster pressing. This is one of the better vintages of this wine that I have had. The other being the 1994, 1998, 2000 and 2001. The blend is 80% Grenache, 5% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre, 5% Cinsault and 5% Counoise. 3rd time I have had this. A soft and integrated wine with earthy notes. Drink now. 87 points.
