TN: 2010 San Filippo Brunello di Montalcino Le Lucere

Opened by a friend for my 60th birthday. The best wine of the night. 2010 was an excellent vintage in Brunello and this wine is a fine example of the great weather that year. Blackish red color. Not decanted. This single vineyard Brunello is aged in Slavonian and Allier oak casks. Aromas of leather and crushed cherries. This had a round texture with supple tannins. Notes of plum, lavender and black cherries. Long finish. Drinking very well now and even better than the 2010 regular Brunello which I previously had from this estate. 95+ points.
