From magnum on Christmas Eve. Almost all of the fruit for this wine comes from Avise. 2008 was a great vintage in chamapgne. Strong bead. Chalky with citrus and brioche notes. A touch of red fruit as well. Round texture with a gravelly finish. No rush to drink this as Bonville makes some of the most ageworthy wines and this is no exception. 93 points

2008 Franck Bonville Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut Millésimé

4th time I have had this Champagne from the great 2008 vintage and it never disappoints. This bottle was purchased in 2013 at the winery for $27. Like most of Bonville's wines, this is aging beautifully. Light yellow color. Moderate bead. Bread dough on the nose. Notes of citrus fruit, chalk, orange zest and brioche. Deep and long finish. 93 points.
