Opened by a friend. My favorite red of the night. 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier. Deep crimson color. This was richly textured and deep. Notes of dark chocolate, black pepper and other spices and garrigue. A full bodied and luscious wine. Still quite youthful with a creamy finish. By far the best Ampuis I have had (the others being the 1999, 2000 and 2011). 96-97 points.

I’ve had this once courtesy of Allred; I remember loving it. Might have been with you and others at Tusk Thai. I have two bottles of the 2013.
