• 2006 Marcel Lapierre Morgon - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Morgon (10/6/2009)
I was in the mood for something "lighter" whateever that means. It had been a while siince i had opened a nice Cru Bojo, so this was it. Pretty ruby color. The wine was tart on opening but kept improving all night as it put on body. Lots of tart cherries with some yeasty notes that gave way to darker cherries and a very slight cola note. Nice balance. Still on the youthful side of maturity but was drinking quite well by the end of the night. At 12.5% Alc, we could finish the whole bottle. (90 pts.)
