• 2005 Selbach-Oster Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Kabinett - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer, Mosel (1/28/2007)
Oily yellow color. Minerals, lemons and exotic fruit on the nose. This is a little heavy in the mouth with a lot of fruit, detectable sweetness and not enough acidity at the end. There's also a hint of bitter. Despite the increased ripeness implied by Prum's spatlese from the same vineyard that wine was not as heavy or sweet. The heavyness and the bitterness at the end detract from this one. It's not a buy-again wine. (86 pts.)
