2005 Schloss Reinhartshausen Erbacher Schlossberg Riesling Monopole - Germany, Rheingau (5/8/2013)

Not sure who brought this to the party. First wine I have had from this Rheingau estate. More yellow than I would expect from a 2005 at this age. Notes of lemon zest, wet stones and minerals. A dry wine with some tartness to it. Lush texture. Thought the balance was a little off. 87 points.

I have this logged in CT differently than you VM, though this isn't the first time that's happened, and I'll defer to your Riesling knowledge on this one. It was a Garagiste purchase a while back and the first of my three to be opened. I was hoping for a lot more from this. My informal TN:

2005 Schloss Reinhartshausen Erbacher Schlossberg Riesling Erstes Gewächs - Germany, Rheingau (4/27/2013)
Fairly deep color. Stone fruit, apple and mineral qualities; a bit full but also seemed flat. Shortish finish. (85 pts.)
