Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. As I have more and more wines that are homogeneous on a global standard, I'm looking for new varietals, regions, etc... to explore. I've heard that Georgia can produce some interesting - in a good way - wines; I think the climate, geography, etc... may be right, just the know-how is lacking overall but there may be a few gems to discover. I have a bottle of Georgian wine which is supposed to be nice; will post a note when I get around to it.
At least this wine provided a few humorous quotes. I was hoping for something different and exotic, even savory, but this was too savory. K&L had some Georgian wines that sounded awesome and they had one they compared to a California Zindfandel from the 70s. I would still hope to try a good Georgian wine someday. Not many notes on cellar tracker but the 2 there were positive. This wine made the Greeks look civilized though.
