2005 Freie Weingärtner Wachau / Domäne Wachau Riesling Smaragd Singerriedel - Austria, Niederösterreich, Wachau (5/26/2012)
Opened last weekend. Found a few of these for $3 each back in 2008. They can sell for up to $60. 2nd time I have had this wine. Hard candy and wet stone nose. Drinking very well. This has added depth since I last had it 4 years ago. Notes of smoke, tea and pears without showing much if any petrol nuances. Smooth finish. I like the direction this wine is headed in and thought it was approaching the quality of the impressive 1999 vintage of this wine. I will hold my last bottle until at least 2015. 91-92 points.
