I had a reservation about opening this bottle. Many of my 2005 was sleeping and this could be too.
And yet, this is beautiful. Feel like a classy 98 CM Amoureuse I had in the summer. Bright medium red. Unbelievable aromas. A soft oak that open to bouquet of fresh roses, wild flowers, sweet cherry, a hint of crushed fresh mint, . Medium body, delicate texture, cool touch, and full of flavors. This is an essence of Pinot. Mildly sweet and seamless. Bing cherry, iron, earth mineral, and a touch of dusty tannin in the end. Seductive, classy, elegance - a 3-in-1. This could easily be a grand cru wine. Leaving your mouth fresh and you hand reaching for one more sip. A top wine from 2005 I have tried so far (haven't tried any grand cru yet); this got a hallmark of the vintage: a perfect balance, purity of flavors, and plenty of soft tannin. 95 points.
