2004 Solitude Pinot Noir Rochioli - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (2/15/2007)
Light ruby color after popping and pouring. Initially strong sulphur nose, didn't blow off for at least an hour. After that, prominent bitter cherry on the nose, maybe with a hint of soft lemon. Tart on the tongue, with acidic tannins that are prominent right now. (87 pts.)

Wondering if this was an off bottle. I was thinking baout starting a topic of "wines you don't hear about on this forum but are great" and this was the exact bottle I was thinking of. Had this at dinner a few months ago and really enjoyed it. I don't recall exactly but I know everyone at the table was impressed by both the nose and taste (I seem to remeber strawberries/ red fruit and some floral). It reminded me of some of the Willams Selyem blends.
