TN: 2004 Larkmead Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon (USA, California, Napa Valley)

2004 Larkmead Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley (8/23/2009)
I preferred this over the 05 as it has a better backbone of tannins and acidity than the 05 which keep it fresh and lively. This reminds me of Karl Lawrence with its nice balance and good fruit without being too ripe or forward. Predominate fruit of currants with a long finish with a little complexity and just a hint of oak. This is my kind of Napa cab and at a reasonable price too! (93 pts.)

Larkmead makes a pretty good line of Cab's. I look forward to this one again in the future. Thanks for the follow up note vinole. Looks like this wine is shaping up nicely.
