Color of a black cherry skin. Slightly cloudy due to unfilter. Seductively sweet aromas of cherry, strawberry, fresh rose, forest floor, and integrated vanilla wood. Medium body but quite dark. Good texture process a lot of stuffing that is not showing off today. Not as heavy as other 2003 I have tasted. Deep flavors of sweet red fruits, greek yogurt, and a burgundy taste. Balanced, good fitnesse, a bit bitter on long finish, overall very an interesting pinot but not really as special as I hope for. Maybe I just open this way too early. 91 points. 14% alcohol.

Have not tasted 2003 burgundy since barrel tastes in spring of 2005 but I'd hang on. This is likely way too young to judge now.
Agreed. I remember tasting a 1999 Girardin Clos Vougeot with mletson in the summer of 2002. No, it wasn't ours; the somm in the restaurant offered us a taste. The wine was hard as nails and almost unidentifiable as a Pinot Noir when first opened.
