TN: 2003 Château Calon-Ségur

Opened by a friend. First time having the 2003. Previously had the 1996, 1998 and 2000 from this 2nd growth estate. Decanted 3 hours before drinking. Light sediment. Ruby color. Fresh and youthful. Notes of ripe berries, eucalyptus and leather. Part of a small 2003 Bordeaux horizontal with the Gruaud Larose and Ducru Beaucaillou. This was my favorite of the three. 95 points.
