This is an eye-opening wine. Made from 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sauvignon Gris, and 5% Semillon. Spend 12 months in 50% new oak and 50% 1-year old oak. Despite it light straw color, it has expressive aromas of acacia flowers, lemon oil and wet stone. Very lively and racy on palate, and still maintain power as well as balance. Full mid plate. Strong mineral re-emerge on back end with a long finish over 1 minute. Despite high percentage of new oak, it only plays a subtle roll. Super elegant and very seductive wine that ask for one more sip. This easily beat the best new world SB (2004 Matua Parentai) I've ever had. 94 points.
