2003 Amisfield Pinot Noir - Central Otago, New Zeland $30/$24.99
Decanted 1hr+. Nice floral nose of strawberries and cherries. The flavors are a nice bouquet of bright cherry and plum with just a touch of anise and fig and light notes of spice. Light bodied, simple structure at the start, but picks up steam with a nice smooth and lingering finish. Screwcap. S89 8/7/2005

Another wine drank over New Year's. This wine is developing very nicely. Who said that New Zealand pinot doesn't age hasn't tried this. Very open, wonderful classic pinot characteristics, almost Burgundian with nice length. I scored it a 92.
