2002 Louis Latour Volnay 1er Cru Les Chevrets - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru (2/25/2007)
Really liked this, going back to get more; decent value in low $30s. On opening, nose of earth and caramel, morphed to sour cherry with a touch of mushroom after about an hour in a glass. Bright acidity on the palate, to go with nice cherry fruit. Fine tannins on medium length finish. This is the kind of burg to lay in for easy drinking with dinner. (89 pts.)
