  • 2000 Michele Chiarlo Barbaresco Asili - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco (2/8/2007)
Drank at Quattro’s. Opened, poured into a decanter and served right away. Ruby red with a brownish tone. Nose of meat, cauliflower and broccoli. Subtle scents of blueberry also. Flavours of blueberry, dark cherries and leather. Soft velvety tannins. Very complex with layers of flavours including mocha on the finish. Enjoyable now but would benefit from 5+ years in the cellar. (92 pts.)
