Popped and poured tonight and served with some rather poorly made leg of lamb. I really had an off night tonight.

The colour is still youthful.

On the nose, still mainly primary elements of dark fruits and some red berry thrown in, with a hint of leather.

The palate has a very lightweight feel to it. Not thin by any means, but very elegant and gliding. There is more fruit at the end than on the initial attack. It finishes with very clean fruit and acidity that made the underseasoned and dry lamb palatable.

This is better than the last time I tasted this wine 2 years ago, but it confirms that the 2000's are still really primary. Not going near my Beychevelles for a while yet.
