My last bottle purchased on release for $18. Paired with roasted pork, sauerkraut and dumplings. The cork was wet but came out in one piece with a CO2 cork remover. Clear golden color. The acidity was much softer than when I last had this in 2002. This wine was less sweet than before as well and better integrated. Notes of pears, apricots and some tropical notes. No petrol notes. Rich and full bodied with a silky finish. This has aged gracefully. I think WS originally recommended a drinking window which ended in 2009 but I've always found their drinking windows to be overly conservative. 95 points from me but my wife wanted to give it 99 points.
