Purchased on release for $13. This wine is from the Alexander Valley in Sonoma.
Leafy, earthy, peaty nose, with a trace of eucalyptus. Black currant flavors are overshadowed by tobacco, soy and espresso notes. Slightly bitter on the finish, but somehow the whole wine seemed better than its component parts. It actually paired pretty well with the grilled NY Strip Steak we had for dinner. Drink up. 86P
