I went to my sister-in-laws for dinner with my wife on Sunday and she made a delicious Pork Tenderloin on the grill with a Huisan (sp?) sauce. I went down to her basement to see what she had on the wine rack and found this bottle. She asks me from time to time to pick out a couple cases of inexpensive bottles for her so she has a decent selection. I hadn't had this in over a year. WS gave it a 90.
Nice dark rich color. Good berry and spice aroma. I was surprised that it was drinking as well as it was. No sign of deterioration. A well rounded wine with ripe fruit and coffee notes. Not far off of WS rating. Anyone who still has these can drink it now or within the next year. 89.
