Found this in a case near the back of a local store, threw caution to the wind and bought 3!! ($24 US)

Good move!

Nice, dark red and some purple, warm nose of berries and spice on opening. Good berry and silky mouthfeel. Set aside until the next day, but sealed the bottle.

Next evening: Same dark color, maybe a bit redder? A little less pretty on the nose but the spice and fruit are still there, more leather mixed in with the fruit and spice, still holding up as a nice silky, medium bodied wine. A touch of drying tannin on the medium finish indicates a bit more life left in this one. Drink sooner than later, but no rush.

Definitely taste the "Italy", with a bit of mineral in the mix. Love the sense of place that good Italian Merlot can have.

DBW points 88, get more if I can.
