A little bit of ambering lets you know this is 16 years old. I didn't decant and started drinking at cellar temperature.
The nose was immediate... Very expressive. Lots of medium-bodied cabernet character to start. The finish was very nice before the wine fully developed... so much fruit it was as if you hadn't swallowed the wine. The chocolatey spicier darker flavors came as the wine warmed. Long finish. Very silky and smooth. Just enough acidity to keep it standing - could use more. No bitterness. No left-over tannins... I'd say drink now-2011. Not big, not rich, not powerful, but very delicious. 91-92pts.
