- 1976 Dr. Heinrich Nagler Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling Auslese - Germany, Rheingau (4/21/2006)
This is a 700ml, no idea about the alcohol content as it is not listed on the bottle.
About 2.5 cm of ullage. The cork was really short and crumbled a bit at the low end.
Beautiful brass color. Nose of pears, apples, a bit of apricot and a hint of gasoline.
On the palate stewed fruits like pears and apple. A bit of almonds on the mid palate.
The acidity is impressive and the wine finishes longer than I expected.
This has just the right sweetness.
I saved a glass for day 2 with similar notes. Really good stuff (92 pts.)
