Enjoying the 76 degree weather this past Sunday on the deck w/a 16 oz. NY strip, a marsala/peppercorn/portabello mushroom sauce, sides, and this wine. Popped and poured w/o decanting.

Dark ruby/cranberry color, leggy, and clear. Nose of soft, sweet oak, red fruit, and dusty spice. Soft, warm cherry pie-type fruit, w/hints of spicy oak and herbs on the palate. Med-full bodied, extremely well integrated, and powerful in a lithe way. Extremely nice wine - 91-92 pts. and in very good shape for 8 yrs.; should go another 3-4 easy.
